Built From the Ashes
With expertise in forestry, arboriculture, and wildland fire, we dreamed of showing homeowners in the Mountain West that a fire-wise landscape can be not only beautiful, but sustainable. As home builders expand into the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) near metropolitan areas, we seek to design ecoscapes that are safe, scientifically proven to work, and feel like the backyard oasis you desire.
Our Story
Professionals in Forestry, Wildland Fire, and Residential Construction, we realized we had a unique skill set that would allow us to serve homeowners in the Mountain West by creating WUI compliant ecoscapes. Our passions lie at the crossroads of fire, science, and playing in the dirt. We couldn't think of a better way to forge a life in the mountains than to offer designs and implementation of fire-wise, WUI-compliant ecoscapes for our fellow mountain-loving neighbors.

Ashley Laux
Founder & CEO
Drawing on years of professional experience in forestry, forest management, and community tree programs, Ashley specializes in creating attractive, WUI-compliant landscapes that balance safety, ecology, and curb appeal. Their background in forest stewardship and land-use management providing clients with expert guidance on reducing wildfire risk while building healthier, more sustainable outdoor spaces.
Austin Nastrom
Web & Labor
Austin has spent years working as a wildland firefighter, and most recently spent time in the residential construction world. He's seen first hand the change in building codes within the Wildland Urban Interface, while knowing there's so much more a homeowner can do to put the fire out before it reaches their front door.
